I think we were just waiting for the perfect moment. I mean, you hate to have your whole Best Film Comedies Ever post the week before Imagine That comes out. Then you have to do it all over again.

By the way, I stumbled on this in Netflix's critical review section: an inexplicable pan from the New York Times back when the movie first came out. I wonder if this is what the rest of us sound like to the people who love Transformers 2.

That's a very interesting read. What a good poop book that would make: bad reviews (preferably by well-known reviewers) of movies that turned out to be unqualified classics.

Sounds like the kind of thing that would take a lot of work. But fake bad reviews of unqualified classics – that would be easy! I think there's an idea there.
(Or, if you prefer, bad reviews of fake movies, but we've already done that.)
