I wouldn't recommend it to someone who wasn't already interested in seeing it, but I was surprised by its wit and charm (in the earthbound scenes; the Asgard scenes were god-awful). And Natalie Portman sure does class the place up – as she always does.

I felt a little bad for Stellan Skarsgård: the only Scandinavian in the film, surrounded by a bunch of Norse gods speaking with British accents.
