So my question is instead for Slim-Fast: "You're surprised that Whoopi Goldberg said something controversial? Who did you think you were hiring?!?"

I think they're just surprised that people heard about it. After Whoopi, I'm sure Slim-Fast figured most people would go out of their way to avoid a Whoopi Goldberg performance, or excerpt thereof.
