-Shortly after the 'Porter started, I began referring to my good friend Joe Mulder as "Athletic Reporter Co-Creator Joe Mulder" on this site as often as I could, partly as a way of pimping the 'Porter, and partly as a way of reiterating my equal stake as co-creator despite the fact that it's quite obvious that most of the major day-to-day creative impetus comes from him. (Not that I don't do my part: without me there'd be no design, and the Photoshop is easily part of what puts us a cut above the other fake sports sites. Plus I named the site, and the "Average Mulder" column, and the fan sign of the week feature was my idea.) It was sort of an in-joke between me and Joe, although I never really discussed it with him. After I'd done that for long enough for it to become nauseating, I shortened it to "ARCC Joe Mulder" for a while, and then at some point, I decided to try pronouncing "ARCC" as "Arksie" (as in, "ARC-C") and I've just kept using it for fun. Lately I interchange "Joe" a little more often than I used to in case new people need enough context clues to realize that they're the same person, but it's kinda fun enough that I don't really care if it's confusing. Still, I appreciate the question - now the curious can be informed.
