It’s a winning premise and of course an excellent cast. The script isn’t groundbreaking, and don’t worry—not one of the oldster gags you’re dreading has been left out. A more biting look at some of the issues involved would’ve been more satisfying, but it’s cheery, clever, and heartfelt (maybe a little too much at times, but nobody ever accused Johnny Scrubs of being unsentimental).
