Its visual style and underworld dialogue are straight out of the Tommy Wiseau playbook. It's interesting to watch natural talents like Duchovny and Jolie when nobody else is in the scene, because the dialogue begins to sound almost credible, but nothing in the story makes it a rewarding experience beyond that. Lesson learned: never rewatch a whole bad movie for one unforgettable Duchovny line reading.
