While the mockumentary format is inconsistent—often abandoned for some bitchin’ surf footage—it’s a fresh approach to an animated story and allows for some funny character moments. The story isn’t too deep, and the script could probably use a bit more polish, but there are some solid gags and the characters are all interesting.
