The characters are good and I appreciate the time spent on them, but on the whole the film is a lot less thoughtful than its predecessor, leaning on the action much more than the analytical sequences that make this character so unique. Bernthal is great, but Kendrick’s absence is sorely felt, and the situation at Harbor Neuroscience slides quickly into preposterous territory.
