A very impressive script from Ansari—a lean setup of the concept; an engaging story with incisive critiques of the gig economy, runaway capitalist greed, and wealth inequality; and, most importantly, knowing when to turn the page. It’s always unfolding more to the story, never preachy, never dwelling on one situation for too long. Rogen is at his most watchable, and it’s great to see Keanu playing to his strengths in non-action areas.
