I put it on to see how it started, and before I knew it I’d watched the whole thing. The spirit of empathy and curiosity pulled me in right away, exploring the aspects of transgender identity with the depth and trust that can be fostered by such an intimate friendship. It’s a shameful, inhuman tragedy that trans people have been dragged into political-lightning-rod status; hopefully sensitive and courageous stories like this will help to change some minds. And what a terrific song from Kristen Wiig and Sean Douglas!
