I can’t exactly say that I know what to make of it, but then again Twin Peaks is a major influence, and I never really “got” that, either. It’s immensely visually inventive, and does a great job of committing to the world that it establishes. The film protects its secrets with admirable restraint, though I confess I’d like to have one or two answers.
