Actual Actual Items—3:07 PM
I don't really like the bulk mail crap that usually comes in the mail. (In fact, just about the only thing I like in the mail is Netflix, and even that's been getting on my nerves lately.) But when you've got junk food quoting Homer Simpson and the late Roy Scheider on the same page, I have to admit that charms me.
Granted, that's not the most creative Homer quote, given that it's a donut saying it. But it reminded me of Alex Trebek reading the Jeopardy! clue: "As Homer Simpson says: 'Mmmm... these.'" in his stilted Canadian moderator voice. Once I started imagining the donut saying it in that voice, I was off and running.
I hope Conan will bring back Actual Items – it was always my favorite bit!
