Mini-Update

The idiots at Salon are giving anonymous bloggers a hard time because they say that anonymity undermines accountability, and blah blah blah. What?!

How many times have you seen a "reputable" news source refer to "a high-level White House source" or an "administration insider" who spoke on the condition of anonymity? What a crock! At least the bloggers are identifiable by their weblog, which stands as a pseudonym. The accountability of their blog is on the line when they make defamatory remarks, and that's more than can be said for the "anonymous staffers" you hear quoted in the "New York Times."

Bloggers who choose to remain anonymous do so with good reason. They can be fired or fired or suffer other indignities. I know if my Mom ever read my website, I'd be mortified.

On an unrelated note, last night anonymous reader mommymomerino passed along a helpful list of suggestions for new improvements to the pH7media.com experience. Next time I feel like staying up for 48 hours straight, you're certainly going to see some cool new stuff around here!

[By the way, if you want to read the Salon article, you can get to it for free even though it's "premium" content. You just select "get a day pass" and click a couple of links.]
