Yet another reason for Arksie to hate the Packers—5:13 PM
Winning Tradition [snopes.com]
It turns out that the Washington Redskins closest home game before a presidential election has an eerie predictive power. It looks like, for one day, I'll be cheering for Brett Favre this Halloween.

I first heard about this in 2000, and I thought it was remarkable that the Redskins, in their long history, have never failed to predict the election correctly. It's essentially a 131,072 shot (assuming I've done my math correctly, and assuming that the Redskins are always 50/50 to win their game, both of which are dubious assumptions, but, still).
And, yeah, when I looked this year and saw that they were playing the Packers, I thought, "Great. Hating the Packers and rooting for them to fail is pretty much my default setting anyway."
